Individual coaching

What is coaching?

Coaching is the name of a complex methodology, when the coach works with his/her coachee in a tailor-made manner. We work on the strengthening of the clients’ capacities and the elimination of his / her difficulties during the coaching process.

As everyone is different, there are situations which are easily solved by some and there are situations, which cannot be worked out. The coach helps his / her client to make his / her strengths conscious and to build awareness in the areas where he / she might need outer help. We strive to reach instant, if possible, even measurable change during the coaching process, that is, to have a Result of our work.

When to consider coaching?

It is wise to think of applying coaching in any situation, when the individual is before or in a change. It can also be a possible way out if a task or the solution of a situation takes more time or causes more stress than expected. Such typical situations are: promotion, the need for some management skills, the demand for a new skill, the loneliness of the manager, and preparation for future management roles. It is also useful during cultural change (expat managers in Hungary or Hungarian managers abroad), re-integration after maternity leave, during business or organisational changes, and in burn-out or in the introduction / integration period.

And when not to?

Of course, coaching is not an almighty solution. If the individual has some knowledge deficiency, we aim to teach and make him / her accept or use some system-like knowledge, it is better if we use trainings, consultancy or other forms of education.

How it happens?

The coaching process consists of coaching sessions. One session is 60-90 minutes long; the whole process usually includes 8-10 sessions. The coach and the coachee meet maximum once a week, but at least once a month. The series of the sessions most often do not exceed the period of six months. We use different methods during the sessions, our clients will do role plays, visualisation, discussion or even shadow coaching.
